Welcome to a New Future at Riksbyggen!
Riksbyggen is a cooperative company, meaning we are member-owned and operate according to our four core values: Innovation, Security, Collaboration, and Sustainability.
We develop sustainable living environments by both creating new homes and managing properties. As one of Sweden's largest players in both housing development and property management, we serve housing associations, companies, and public property owners. Regardless of your interests or goals, you are always welcome with us. Are you ready for the next step in your career?
We are now looking for a driven project economist for our Renovation business area. We are investing heavily in the renovation business and have clear growth targets. Are you ready to grow with us? Submit your application today!
Do you have experience working as an economist in the property or construction industry and are used to driving business forward in projects while supporting your project manager colleagues in financial matters? Are you a social, service-oriented, and trustworthy person who works proactively with risk analyses? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
Make a Difference with Us
As a project economist at Riksbyggen, you have an important and varied role within the renovation business.
You will work closely with approximately 90 project managers in renovation projects and support them in financial matters in the projects, such as forecasting and follow-up.
As a project economist, you proactively monitor the project's finances and manage its balance and income statements. You prepare documentation for invoicing, develop key figures and reports, and follow up and finalize projects. You will also monthly reconcile the market area's balance and progressive results and report to relevant decision-makers. You will also conduct analyses and support managers in their decisions with your understanding and insight into the project's finances. Occasionally, you will also handle questions related to VAT, financing, and tax issues, even if they are not part of your daily tasks.
You will work closely with your nearest colleague, also a project economist, and develop the financial process within your business area, occasionally working on specific development projects depending on the needs of the business. You will also participate in various training sessions on project economics within Riksbyggen. You report to the Business Manager for Renovation.
Contribute with Your Skills and Engagement
We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics and experience working with accounting, budgeting, planning, and follow-up issues. You have experience in similar roles within a construction or property company. It is advantageous if you have worked with housing associations and have knowledge of construction and property economics. We apply progressive results accounting, so experience in this area is a plus. This is not your first job; you have at least 2-3 years of experience from previous economic roles.
As a person, you are meticulous, structured, take initiative, and have a highly developed sense of quality. You are a communicative and pedagogical person who is used to building good relationships and can find new ways for collaboration and consensus. We believe one of your driving forces is to work together with your colleagues towards common goals and results. Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, is required.
Riksbyggen is a nationwide and financially sound company with operations based on strong values. To thrive, you should share these fundamental values based on community development, putting people at the center, and promoting sustainable development.
Riksbyggen sees diversity as a strength and strives to create an inclusive work environment. Riksbyggen applies a probationary period.
The location for the position can be discussed, but preferably it is Stockholm.
